Attorney at
Law Opal P. Lee is admitted to practice law in Florida
and Jamaica. Ms. Lee was born in Kingston, Jamaica. She attended
Holy Childhood High School in Jamaica, earned a Bachelor of Arts
degree from Florida
Atlantic University, a Juris Doctorate degree from Florida
International University College of Law, and a Certificate
of Legal Education from the Norman Manley Law School in Kingston,
Jamaica. While at FIU College of Law, Ms. Lee made the Dean’s
list, served as the Vice President of the Black
Law Students’ Association, Vice President of the Caribbean
Students’ Bar Association, was a member of the law school’s
Board of Advocates, and represented the law school at the Wechsler
National First Amendment Moot Court Competition where her team
received third place in the National Brief Award.
While working as a Law Clerk
at the law firm of Gary E. Sherman, P.A., Ms. Lee gained valuable
experience handling personal injury and civil litigation cases.
Ms. Lee was a Certified Legal Intern at the Broward County State Attorney’s Office where she participated in several criminal trials from jury selection to verdict. |

Ms. Lee founded the law firm of Opal P. Lee, P.A. in 2006 and practiced in the areas of Immigration, Criminal Defense, Family, Personal Injury and Foreclosure Defense.
Ms. Lee is a member of the American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, the Broward County Bar Association, the Caribbean Bar Association, and the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyer’s Association.
Ms. Lee values the professional relationships she maintains with her clients. She understands that the lawyer-client relationship is based on trust, diligence, respect and confidentiality. She gives her clients immediate attention, which includes promptly returning telephone calls and updating them frequently on the progress of their legal matters.
